What languages does Tactiq support?

Find the transcription languages available in Tactiq for Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.

Written by Gil Patindol

Tactiq supports transcription in more than 30 languages. Available languages vary by meeting platform, so check the list for the platform you use.

💡 Note: Select the language being spoken in your meeting. If the selected language does not match the spoken language, the transcript may be missing or inaccurate. The languages available to you can also depend on your meeting platform's settings.

💡 Note: The tables use standard BCP 47 language tags for reference. A code identifies a language and, where specified, its region or writing system. For example, pt-BR means Portuguese as used in Brazil, and zh-Hant means Chinese written in Traditional characters.

Before you start

Select the language people are speaking in your meeting. A language mismatch can cause missing or inaccurate transcript text. The options available to you can also depend on your meeting platform’s settings.

Can Tactiq transcribe more than one language in a meeting?

Tactiq uses one selected transcription language at a time and does not automatically switch when the spoken language changes.

  • Change the transcription language when the conversation switches to another language.

  • Match your meeting platform’s spoken or caption language to the language shown in Tactiq when needed.

Follow Change the transcription language during a meeting for the steps on your platform.

💡 Note: Changing the language applies to speech captured after the change. It does not correct earlier transcript text.
